Lansing-based Gary Colles, who has been making cheese for 11 years, will demonstrate simple recipes to make at home, using nothing more than basic kitchen equipment--a large stainless steel pot, a slotted spoon, a meat thermometer, cheesecloth and a stovetop. There are around 1,300 different types of cheese
in the world, but most stores carry only 30 of the most popular varieties, according to Colles. We're bringing him to Parchment after his wildly successful workshop at Kalamazoo Public Library last summer. We're expecting a crowd, so registration is limited to 50. Please register at 343-7747 or click here to register.
